Home Worship

Worship

Worship is held each Sunday at 9 a.m., with the Sacrament of Holy Communion celebrated on the second, fourth, and fifth Sundays, throughout the Easter season, and on all festivals.

Services are held on Wednesday evenings during Advent, Lent, on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday during Holy Week, at sunrise on Easter Day, on Thanksgiving Eve, and on Christmas Eve.

The congregation’s social concerns committee coordinates worship services at the Goliad nursing home, which are conducted by members of the congregation.

The Lutheran Church is known for its rich heritage of church music and hymns. Hymns and songs from web and several print resources bring variety and diversity to services. Anthems by the choir and music provided by several instruments enhance the worship experience. Responding to God’s call to ministry through Baptism, St. Peter’s encourages strong lay leadership in all worship services.
